Internet browser merupakan sebuah aplikasi untuk membantu user dalam menjelajahi dunia maya, tiap tahun Internet/web browser yang biasa kita gunakan  ini selalu memperbaiki kelemahannya, mulai dari security, fitur menarik, kecepatan browsing dan lain sebagainya.

Menurut review/pengujian yang dilakukan oleh toptenreviews.com pada tahun 2012, bahwa tahun ini terjadi perubahan peringkat dari yang sebelumnya peringkat satu diduduki oleh browser Firefox keluaran Mozilla, namun tahun ini peringkat  pertama diambil alih oleh browser chrome keluaran google.

KOMPUTER TERCANGGIH DIDUNIA

Judul diatas mungkin pernah terlintas di benak kita. Dan ketika ada pertanyaan seperti itu pikiran kita langsung mengarah pada negara-negara penguasa teknologi seperti Amerika, Jerman, atau Jepang. Sayangnya, negara-negara 'canggih' tersebut ternyata masih kalah 'canggih' dengan negri tirai bambu. Ya, komputer tercanggih di dunia ternyata berhasil dibuat oleh Cina!

Komputer ini diberi nama Tianhe-1A, yang kurang lebih berarti Bima Sakti. Komputer ini memiliki kecepatan menghitung dua ribu triliun kalkulasi perdetik, dan kecepatan memproses data 2.507 petaflop,  ya kira kira ga beda jauh lah sama komputer di rumah. Kecepatan ini melibihi super komputer milik Departemen Pertahanan Amerika yang diberi nama The Cray XT5 Jaguar. Jika dibandingkan dengan komputer di pasaran saat ini, Tianhe-1A sebanding dengan 14.000 komputer biasa. Untuk urusan prosesorpun Tianhe-1A setara dengan 7000 prosesor grafis komputer yang biasa digunakan untuk game. Yang lebih hebatnya lagi, ternyata komputer super canggih ini dibuat oleh Universitas Nasional Cina jurusan Teknologi Pertahanan! Ckck, hebat ya kampus-kampus diluar negri... (ayo kampus Indonesia jangan mau kalah!)

Super Komputer ini menghabiskan lima puluh juta euro, dan dikerjakan oleh 200 teknisi selama dua tahun. Untuk penggunaan, komputer ini digunakan untuk berbagai penelitian yang melibatkan perhitungan kompleks, seperti sistem modeling cuaca, simulasi ledakan nuklir, merancang pesawat, penemuan tambang minyak, otomatisasi perdagangan saham, dan penelitian-penelitian canggih lainnya. Komputer canggih ini juga menjadi peringatan bagi negara-negara barat bahwa Cina siap untuk memimpin dalam urusan teknologi. Indonesia? kita tunggu saja beritanya ya!
